ACC conference play is now in full swing, and in a league this competitive, every game becomes so pivotal — especially as far as compiling an NCAA tournament resume is concerned.
The Miami Hurricanes are just 1-5 in conference play, but that has included a string of heartbreaking last-second defeats. They’ll host Virginia Tech, a team with legitimate March Madness aspirations, in the first half of the doubleheader on NESN at 5:30 p.m. Sunday evening.
That matchup will be followed by a battle between two teams currently sporting 3-3 conference records. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will head north to take on Gary Williams‘ Maryland Terrapins in College Park — a trip that’s never an easy task. That game is set for 7:30 p.m.
