The dominoes connected with the decision to send Marc Savard to long-term injured reserve have begun to fall.

The Bruins recalled forward Jordan Caron from Providence on Monday, just hours after announcing that Savard's season was ending following another concussion.

Caron started the season in Boston where he registered three goals and four assists before being sent to Providence on Dec. 6.

The 20-year-old struggled initially upon being sent back to Providence, but has started to heat up as of late. After only registering three points for the month of December, Caron responded with a January that saw him post 6-7-13 totals.
