Carl Crawford signed a blockbuster deal to join the Red Sox in 2011, and people have high expectations for the speedy outfielder — who is worth $142 million over the next seven years in Boston. However, Crawford is just focused on winning.

The $142 million-dollar man sat down with the media on Friday to discuss his future with the Red Sox, and he said he’s really looking forward to playing on a Boston roster that is full of great players.

When asked about his contract, Crawford said he wasn’t feeling much pressure to live up to the large sum, he’s just focused on winning games.

“I just take the same approach like I take every year,” Crawford said. “I get ready for the season the same way. My main goal is worry about winning, and that’s all I’m worried about.”
