Carl Crawford, Josh Hamilton Among Top 10 Left Fielders in Baseball

Outfielders are often transient creatures. Some move from one spot to the next on a daily basis — or even within the same game — causing many to lump them into one broad category.

As evidenced by guys like Carl Crawford, however, there are distinctions.

Crawford would probably do just fine playing center or right field on a regular basis, but he has mastered the angles and lines of left. He is, in every sense of the word, a left fielder, and a darn good one.
