As pitchers and catchers flock to Florida and Arizona for weeks of light jogging and long toss, reporters are getting their first looks at the players since the fall. Most of the players look the same, so those who come in with some new dimensions generate a headline or two.

In Tampa, where the Yankees are gathering for the spring, CC Sabathia checked in 25 pounds lighter, according to Sports Illustrated's Jon Heyman.

Heyman said that Sabathia is down to 290 pounds from 315 pounds, and the key to the weight loss was "not eating Cap'n Crunch."

While a trimmer Sabathia is good news for the Yanks, another pitcher isn't looking very good.

"Not saying [Joba Chamberlain is] fat, but he looks like he may have swallowed one of the clubhouse kids," Heyman wrote.

For a guy who woke up to see speculation that he might not even make the Yankees' major league roster all over the New York Post, and based on this photo that may confirm Heyman's observation, it's safe to say that Chamberlain's having a rough first week of the season.
