Celtics-Lakers has and always will be a hot ticket for basketball fans. However, if you plan on checking out the two storied rivals, doing so in Boston, will likely end up being much easier on your wallet.

According to SeatGeek.com, a website specializing in analyzing the secondary ticket market, the average ticket price for the Feb. 10 matchup between the Celtics and Lakers at TD Garden is going for almost 50 percent less than the average ticket for the Jan. 30 matchup between the two at Staples Center in L.A.

Tickets for last Sunday’s game averaged an astounding $472. Meanwhile, for next week’s game at the Garden, you’re probably going to pay roughly $274 on average per ticket.

Those high prices, however, aren’t necessarily indications of where tickets for the two teams usually land. Both average prices are major jumps from the average prices of tickets for this season. In fact, as SeatGeek points out, the $472 average price for the Jan. 30 game in Tinseltown is nearly a 200 percent jump from the average price.
