Clay Buchholz Hits Longest Drive, But Takes Lowest Rank in NESN’s Second Base Cup

In Clay Buchholz's defense, he wasn't wearing the best shoes for his showing in NESN's Second Base Cup.

The Red Sox starter lined up in a pair of flip-flops (try not to get too jealous, New Englanders) for his chip onto the field at City of Palms Park, trying to best Jon Lester's first-place mark set on Monday.

Buchholz's swing was definitely impressive, but he found himself at the bottom of the rankings as his golf ball landed just over 20 feet away from second base. In true competitive form, Buchholz said he didn't hear the instructions right, and that's why he's last among his teammates and manager in the rankings.
