PHILADELPHIA — Holy Family has suspended a men's basketball coach accused of attacking a player at practice.

John O'Connor has been suspended pending the outcome of an investigation by the university after he was accused of pushing, kicking and injuring sophomore Matt Kravchuk.

Holy Family spokesman Tom Durso says O'Connor was suspended Thursday. He did not give an official reason for the suspension.

O'Connor was an assistant coach at Georgia Tech before taking over the tiny Division II program last April.

Video of the incident has hit the Internet. O'Connor is shown pushing Kravchuk to the ground during a 1-on-1 drill, then kicked him. O'Connor berates his player and tosses him out of the late January practice.
