No one ever said Jonathan Papelbon and Daniel Bard needed the late-inning help, but when the Red Sox signed Bobby Jenks and Dan Wheeler this offseason, the Nation breathed a sigh of relief.
Why? Because there’s always room in any team’s bullpen for a proven veteran or two.
Bard, who will be mowing down hitters in the eighth inning this summer, is excited to welcome both Jenks and Wheeler to the pen, as seen in The Boston Globe video below.
