Fans Gather at Local Bars to Celebrate Beanpot Championship With Bud Light Viewing Parties (Photos) Boston College and Northeastern University fans were out in full Monday night, showing their team spirit throughout the city for the 2011 Beanpot Championship. Boston University and Harvard University fans were harder to find however, as their teams were eliminated in the first round.

Fans met at The Grand Canal, The Sports Grille Boston, Hurricane O’Reilly’s and The Greatest Bar to watch two college hockey favorites compete for Boston’s bragging rights and a Beanpot trophy.

The Eagles and Jerry York were looking for a repeat of 2010, while the Huskies and coach Greg Cronin were ready for an upset as well as the opportunity to break a 23-year streak without a championship win.
