There have been many labels thrown around trying to describe what Jed Lowrie‘s role with the Red Sox will be this season.

“Super utility man” is one term that’s been used to describe Lowrie’s infield versatility, but he takes a different approach when describing his 2011 responsibilities.

“I see myself as an everyday shortstop that can play more than one position,” Lowrie said. “I think it’s an asset that I’m able to do that.”

Lowrie also discussed a recent stint on the disabled list, and how he battled back after wrist surgery and a tough bout with mononucleosis. Check out his full interview in the video above from Red Sox Live.
