Spring training can be a dangerous place. Just ask Josh Beckett.

The Red Sox’ righty was roaming the field at City of Palms Park on Monday, prior to the Sox’ matchup with the Twins, when he was struck in the head by an errant baseball.

The 30-year-old seems to have not suffered much of an injury, as NESN.com’s Tony Lee reported from the clubhouse “that he is OK.”

ESPN.com’s Joe McDonald reported that Red Sox staff assistant Ino Guerrero was attempting to hit a ball into a bucket when his errant shot hit Beckett in the head.

Beckett pitched Sunday night against the Twins, allowing one run on two hits in two innings.
