Would the Bruins be willing to welcome back Marco Sturm? The possibility exists, as the veteran forward is on waivers.

ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun reported Friday that Sturm was on waivers, meaning he is available to teams, from the worst record to best record, that want to sign him.

There isn't likely to be tremendous interest in Sturm, who just came off injured reserve on Wednesday. He missed more than a month with a lower-body injury, and he's played just 17 games this year. He does have an assist and a plus-1 rating in his two games this week.

The Bruins traded Sturm to Los Angeles in December in order to remain under the salary cap.
