The injury problems that have riddled the Celtics at times this season may have hit a low for the season in a scary moment on Sunday afternoon at TD Garden.
Celtics forward Marquis Daniels suffered what what the team announced is a neck injury during the second quarter of Boston’s game with the Magic.
Daniels was stabilized and then taken off of the court on a stretcher and was brought to New England Baptist Hospital.
The Garden crowd was hushed following the incident as Celtics players went to a knee as Daniels was worked on by paramedics. As he was wheeled off, however, Daniels appeared to give a thumbs up, and the team announced that he was conscious and was talking as he was carried off.
Celtics forward Glen Davis left Sunday’s game as well after hitting his head on the floor in the first quarter, but returned shortly thereafter.
