The Michael Vick redemption tour won't be heading for Oprah Winfrey's chair.

Vick was ready to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show to air on Thursday, Feb. 24, but now, according to ESPN, he has canceled his appearance.

The formerly troubled superstar has been making attempts at rehabilitating his image since being released from prison after he was convicted on felony dog fighting charges.

Winfrey, known for her hard-hitting interview style, agreed to the interview, despite pleas from her fans.

Vick released a statement about the interview, saying: "After careful consideration, I will need to postpone the taping of the Oprah Winfrey interview … I admire and respect Oprah and hope to be able to participate in an interview in the future."

The agenda was rumored to include Vick’s time in prison, his charity work and his comeback in the NFL.
