In the end, as it does many times when talking about the Red Sox, it came down to tradition. As it turned out, tradition was the specialty of “Mr. Nostalgia.”

NESN.com readers were recently asked to vote on which Red Sox fan they thought did the best job selling the Red Sox to Liverpool supporters. The votes have been added up and “Mr. Nostalgia,” whose sales pitch hinged primarily upon the tradition and nostalgia that comes with the Red Sox and Fenway Park, accumulated the most.

“It’s a feeling you get when you get into the stadium,” he explained. “It’s absolutely phenomenal.”

Fittingly, he tied up his sales pitch with an interesting comparison of the devotion of Red Sox fans to those of the English Premier League.

Check out his full video pitch below.
