New Fenway Park Renovations Include LED Video Screens Added in Center Field


Red Sox fans are buzzing with excitement about spring training down in Fort Myers, but there’s plenty of action going on in Boston as well.

Fenway Park is undergoing some serious renovations for the 2011 season, as the ten-year project culminates with the latest additions going in around the park. Among those renovations are the new LED screens that are being installed in center field, which will give fans a high-def look at all their favorite replays throughout the game.

Red Sox president Larry Lucchino was at Fenway on Friday morning to discuss the renovations and he’s hoping the fans will enjoy the latest pieces of the park’s puzzle. Lucchino added that with the latest renovations, he hopes that Fenway Park will be around for many years to come.

NESN Daily also made a pit stop down in Fort Myers, checking in on the latest players who have reported to the Red Sox’ training grounds. NESN insider Tony Lee called in with analysis on the early arrivals, saying it’s a good sign for the year ahead.
