Report: Carmelo Anthony Trade to Knicks ‘Appears Imminent,’ Could Get Done Monday Night

Hopefully, the end of the Carmelo Anthony trade rumors are about to be just another story of the past.

According to Yahoo's Marc Spears, the Knicks and Nuggets are close to finally finishing a trade that would send the All-Star forward to The Big Apple. In fact, the deal could be done before Tuesday.

"Melo is close to being dealt to Knicks, possibly [Monday night], a source tells Y! Sports," Spears tweeted on Monday night.

The Denver Post reported on its website Monday night that the deal was close, saying in the article's headline that a trade "appeared imminent." The report also stated that "minor details" were left to be worked out and that Anthony was absent from Nuggets practice on Monday.
