With a Tomas Kaberle deal to Boston looking to be more inevitable each day, a new report suggest a trade could be completed as early as Friday.

The Toronto Sun's Damien Cox reports that all signs are pointing to Kaberle getting traded to Boston on Friday. While leaving open the possibility of a last-minute breakdown, Cox reported the deal as a near-certainty.

The report says that Blake Wheeler, whose name has been bandied about in trade rumors, would not be involved. Instead, Cox reports, Toronto general manager Brian Burke is targeting prospects Joe Colborne and Ryan Spooner.

The report also said that the Bruins would be sending their own first-round draft pick to Toronto — not the higher pick they acquired from Toronto in the Phil Kessel trade.

"If this deal comes together … it's likely to happen early this afternoon," Cox wrote.

Update, 10:59 a.m.: The Boston Globe is reporting that a deal is "all but done," with the Bruins' first-round pick and Colborne going to Toronto.
