Tim Wakefield has been calling the Red Sox training complex in Fort Myers his spring training headquarters since 1995. Slugger Adrian Gonzalez is donning Sox red, navy and white on a baseball field for the first time ever.
Just hours after the team’s second official spring training workout, both Wake and Gonzo will join the Red Sox Live NESN studio on Wednesday night to field questions from members of Red Sox Nation and discuss a wide range of topics with Tom Caron, Peter Gammons and Heidi Watney.
Wakefield will take his hacks at second base, as well, as the knuckler is going to test his irons and vie for the first annual Second Base Cup title. Wake has his work cut out for him, however, as fellow pitcher Jon Lester came within seven feet on Monday night.
A brand new episode of Red Sox Live From Fort Myers will be airing every weeknight and weekend morning for 13 straight days starting on Sunday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. ET. During every episode, NESN baseball analysts will answer questions from fans. Leave your questions in the comments section below, and watch Red Sox Hot Stove Live to see if Tim Wakefield, Adrian Gonzalez, Tom Caron, Heidi Watney or Peter Gammons answer them on air.
