Send Patriots Reporter Jeff Howe a Question for His Weekly Mailbag Teams are spending money to retain their high-value players, such as Denver's Champ Bailey and Oakland's Richard Seymour, who have locked up surprisingly large contracts before the expiration of the collective-bargaining agreement.

Yet, the Patriots have stood pat, and with each passing day, it seems less and less likely they'll reach a deal with left guard Logan Mankins or left tackle Matt Light. Do you think this is a smart play on their end, or should they sign their linemen before things get crazy with a looming lockout?

The Patriots are also set up to be one of the power players in April's draft, and this should be an important week for the candidates on their big board. Who will the Patriots be eyeing at the combine and who do you want them to target with those early picks?

Leave your question for Jeff Howe's mailbag in the comments section below or via Twitter. Jeff will pick a few questions to answer every week. Be sure to check back to see if your question was answered by Jeff.
