Vote: Who Is the Greatest Quarterback of All Time? With Patriots quarterback Tom Brady racking up another MVP trophy on Sunday, and the NFL’s biggest game ready to take center stage in Dallas, why not discuss the game’s great quarterbacks?

Because when it comes down to it, you belong to one of a few different schools of thought when it comes to ranking NFL quarterbacks historically. To some, the amount of Super Bowl rings you win is the greatest indicator of the success of a career. To others, it comes down to stats. Then there are those who believe in a combination of the two.

Brady is certainly a combination of the two in the mold of Joe Montana, another one of the game’s greats. At times in each of their careers, they both put up gaudy numbers, but when it’s all said and done, both will be remembered for their success when it matters most.

From a statistical standpoint, there’s Brett Favre. Sure, much of the reason Favre holds most of the NFL career passing records is because of sheer volume. However, at the same time, it’s tough to deny his standing in football history. Similarly, there’s Peyton Manning, the best candidate right now to eventually break Favre’s records. Manning, like Fave, has only one Super Bowl ring to his name.

When it comes to pure passing mechanics and playing the position at the highest level, Dan Marino may be second-to-none. He is often left out of the conversation, though. The reason? No Super Bowl bling.

Which criteria do you go by? Who’s the best quarterback of all time?
