Adrian Gonzalez will make his third appearance in a game for the Red Sox when they meet the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday afternoon.

Gonzalez is 2-for-4 with a sacrifice fly through his first two games with Boston. His debut was Saturday, when he singled on the first pitch he had seen since the end of the 2010 regular season.

The slugging first baseman batted fifth in his second game but is back in the third spot for this one. He is 2-for-6 with three walks in his career against Braves starter Tommy Hanson.

Gonzalez is just one of several starters making the trip. Shortstop Marco Scutaro will lead off, followed by second baseman Dustin Pedroia. Kevin Youkilis, hitting just .185 (5-for-27), is the cleanup hitter.

4. Kevin Youkilis, 3B
5. David Ortiz, DH
