Adrian Gonzalez Batting Third As Red Sox Look For Seventh Straight Home Win

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Adrian Gonzalez will appear in a game for the fourth time with the Red Sox when he bats third and plays first in a matinee against the Detroit Tigers on Friday.

Gonzalez enters the contest 2-for-7 with an RBI in his first three games.

He will be sandwiched in the lineup by Dustin Pedroia and Kevin Youkilis. Marco Scutaro draws the leadoff assignment, with Jacoby Ellsbury batting first in the team's other game Friday night at Tampa Bay.

With Clay Buchholz on the mound, Boston will be aiming for its sixth straight home win. Here is the entire batting order.
