The question of Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani's future looks to be nearing resolution, as his agent, Franco Zavaglia, has now said that he believes a deal for the midfielder's permanent transfer to Juventus will be completed as soon as the summer window opens, according to ESPNsoccernet.

Aquilani, who was purchased for £20 million by Rafa Benitez in 2009, failed to settle at Anfield and was allowed by Roy Hodgson to return to Italy on loan with the Turin club.

At Juve, Aquilani has thrived, and he has long been said to wish to stay at the club. The issue, however, has been that Liverpool still owns the Italy international, and the Reds could choose to bring him back to Anfield or sell him on the open market — if Juve was not willing to meet their asking price.

Now, it appears that Juventus will pay up, doling out a fee in the range of £14 million, reports ESPN.

"On June 30, Juventus will be able to buy Aquilani and they should act now," Zavaglia told Radio Mana Mana. "They could sign him by making three to four delayed payments, a system which was established last summer. The agreement between Liverpool and Juventus is already there, it all depends on the willingness of Juventus.

"I think Aquilani will stay at Juventus and there will not be any obstacles.''
