The Maple Leafs general manager has become one of Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli's speed dials when it comes to making trades, especially as of late.
It was Burke who pulled the trigger on the Phil Kessel trade in September of 2009 as the B's sent the goal scorer to Toronto in exchange for draft picks, including two first-rounders, one of which produced Tyler Seguin. Then this February, Burke finally ended the suspense when he unloaded longtime Toronto defenseman Tomas Kaberle to Boston in a deal before the deadline.
Burke also has local ties, as once upon a time he was the general manager of the Hartford Whalers.
He's also someone known to say whatever is on his mind at whatever time. Now is your chance to get inside of his mind, as Burke will be a guest on Bruins Face-Off Live on Thursday night prior to the B's and Leafs tangling at TD Garden.
