There was no first-round upset for Patriots running back (4) Danny Woodhead, as he advanced past Buffalo's (13) Steve Johnson in the first round of EA's bracket-style competition to decide the new Madden 12 cover athlete.

Woodhead advanced relatively comfortably, garnering 62 percent of the fan vote. He is now in the round of 16, pitted against (5) Hakeem Nicks of the New York Giants. You can cast you vote for Woodhead until April 4.

Some steep competition still remains, as Mark Sanchez, Aaron Rodgers, Michael Vick and Adrian Peterson are all still alive in the bracket.
