The good news just keeps on coming for the Celtics on the injury front.

Glen Davis is already back with the C's, returning Sunday from a sore left knee, and what's more, Delonte West is now targeting a return date as well. West is all set to play Wednesday night, when the Celtics host the Indiana Pacers.

"Definitely no today, and so far no tomorrow," West said Sunday. "But I should definitely be a go for Wednesday. With this back-to-back coming up, we'll have no practice the third day. So I'll definitely take advantage of these three days that I have to prepare myself for action on Wednesday."

West's original injury to start the season was a broken wrist, but he says he's happy with the wrist now after taking three months to heal, rest and strengthen the arm again. But his latest ailment has been a sprained ankle, and he's still working on that one.

"There's still a little bit of soreness in there," West admitted. "I still don't have my explosiveness. I can push off of it, and I can gingerly go through drills, but I'm just not ready to put that game pressure on it. A few more days should be sufficient."

West says he's surprised that a simple sprained ankle has taken so long to heal. The injury usually only lasts a couple days, but West went down in a workout nearly two weeks ago, before the C's played the Jazz on Feb. 28.

He claims to be staying "even-keeled" with the injury, but at the same time, he's not exactly nursing himself back slowly.

"It's not a slow, 'take your time' thing with me," West said. "I've taken enough time. It's been four, five months already. This is long overdue. I can't wait to get this injury bug behind me."
