Former Welcome Back Kotter star, professional poker player and commentator Gabe Kaplan has gone missing relatively frequently as of late.

After being replaced by Norm MacDonald as the host of the seventh season of GSN's High Stakes Poker — which Kaplan hosted for the show's first six installments – Kaplan has now been replaced in the field of the National Heads-Up Poker Championship by Carlos Mortensen, reports ESPN.

Fans of Kaplan, however, are most concerned with Kotter's potential absence from a reunion for the show in which he played the titular character. The cast is set to be honored with the 35th Anniversary Award at this year's TV Land Awards, and cast members John Travolta, Marcia Strassman, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs and Ron Palillo have confirmed that they will appear, but Kaplan's RSVP is still outstanding, according to CBS.

The awards show is set to be taped April 10.
