The International Tennis Federation has announced that Ivo Karlovic has set a new world record with his 156 mph serve on Saturday.

The 6'10" Croatian was playing with doubles partner Ivan Dodig against Germany during the Davis Cup when he served the record-breaking ace.  He broke Andy Roddick’s previous record of 155 mph, which was set in 2004.

Karlovic and Dodig ultimately lost their match to Christopher Kas and Philipp Petzschner of Germany.
