Jacoby Ellsbury Playing Center Field, Batting Leadoff Against Orioles

SARASOTA, Fla. — With a pair of split-squad games taking place roughly 80 miles apart, the Red Sox are spread a bit thin on Saturday. For their game in Sarasota against the Orioles, the featured players will be in the outfield.

Jacoby Ellsbury will play center field and bat leadoff. Carl Crawford is in left and batting third. He is searching for his first hit of the spring, entering this game 0-for-9.

The game also includes the trio of minor leaguers that led the Sox past the Yankees on Friday night. Oscar Tejeda will bat second between Ellsbury and Crawford. Juan Carlos Linares bats fifth and plays DH. Shortstop Jose Iglesias will bring up the rear.

Those three are now 11-for-28 (.458) in Grapefruit League play.
