LAKELAND, Fla. — Jacoby Ellsbury and Carl Crawford will bat back-to-back again when the Red Sox face the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday at Joker Marchant Stadium.

The pair of burners hit consecutively a few times earlier in the spring. Both were removed rather early from the club's 2-1 win over New York on Monday night in order to rest for the long bus trip north.

J.D. Drew is hitting third for the first time this spring, followed by Jason Varitek in the cleanup role.

Jed Lowrie gets a start at shortstop and bats in the middle of the order.
