It's an unavoidable concept — over time, things change. And while the game of baseball is fundamentally the same as it has always been, there are plenty of differences between the game now and in the 1970s and '80s.
On Saturday, during the Red Sox-Marlins game, Red Sox color commentator Jerry Remy was asked to discuss the differences of today's game and the game that Remy played during his playing days.
"The game doesn't change much between the lines; the game is the game itself," the Rem Dawg explained. "Overall, I've always felt like it just continues to get better, and better and better, and the players continue to get better, and better and better. "
