Rick Pitino just lost the distinction of being the only coach to lead three different teams to the NCAA men’s Final Four when John Calipari led the Wildcats past UNC on Sunday, but Pitino does maintain other distinctions.

Thursday’s The Four’s Trivia Question of the Day asked fans: which current NCAA Division I men’s basketball coach did Lou Lamoriello hire at Providence College?

Lamoriello became the athletic director of Providence College in 1982. In 1985, he hired Pitino, who was assistant coach of the New York Knicks at the time, to take over the men’s basketball team that had gone 11-20 the year before. Pitino led the team to the Final Four in 1987 before leaving to coach in the NBA again.
