It is hard to say the same about the current lot of players. While there are several solid right fielders in the game today, there are not many true standouts beyond the 37-year-old at the top of the list.
With apologies to youngsters Jason Heyward and Mike Stanton (just need a little more of a track record), Corey Hart (inconsistent bat, subpar defender), Ben Zobrist (one outstanding season, one not so much), J.D. Drew (still a great defender, bat is rather average), Nelson Cruz (still has never played more than 128 games in a season) and Jose Bautista (will be near the top of the list once Toronto moves him back from third base), here are our top 10 right fielders in the game today.
