FORT MYERS, Fla. — Marco Scutaro will bat leadoff when the Red Sox host the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday night.

Scutaro is followed by Dustin Pedroia, David Ortiz and J.D. Drew, who returns to right field after serving as the designated hitter for a game.

The Sox will be facing Orioles starter Ryan Drese, who once won 14 games with Texas but has not pitched in the majors since 2006. When he was a regular for Texas, and before that Cleveland, Drese was 0-3 with a 6.57 ERA against Boston.

Among those who might recall how much they liked facing Drese is Ortiz, who was 9-for-21 (.429) with four doubles, a home run and three walks vs. the righty.

Here is the complete batting order for the Red Sox.

1. Marco Scutaro, SS
2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
3. David Ortiz, DH
4. J.D. Drew, RF
5. Jason Varitek, C
6. Jed Lowrie, 3B
7. Daniel Nava, LF
8. Drew Sutton, 1B
9. Che-Hsuan Lin, CF
