Liverpool has not yet made contact with Bayer Leverkusen defender Michal Kadlec, but the left back said he would welcome a move to Anfield.

The Reds scouted a Leverkusen game earlier in the season, and reportedly had their eye on the Czech defender, ESPN.com reports. The rumored interest came as exciting news to Kadlec.

"To be connected with such a big club flatters me. Who would not be tempted to play in the Premier League?"

Kadlec still has another two years on his contract with Leverkusen, but if the team fails to qualify for next season's Champions League, they will be looking to sell off a few players. Kadlec said he's not sure if Liverpool is still interested, but he'd be open to the move.

"I know that they were present at our early season game against Dortmund, which we won 2-0," Kadlec said of the Liverpool scouts. "But I don't know whether there has been any progress since then."

Leverkusen currently sits in second place, which is the last automatic spot for the Champions League competition.
