Pawtucket Red Sox to Wear Patch Honoring Late Owner Ben Mondor This Season The Pawtucket Red Sox announced on Tuesday that every PawSox player uniform will bear a jersey patch to honor late owner Ben Mondor.

Mondor passed away in October at the age of 85. Players will each wear a patch with the name "BEN" on the right sleeve for the season. The patch will be worn on every home uniform.

PawSox president Mike Tamburro said, "Ben always wore his love of the PawSox on his sleeve so it’s only fitting that we carry BEN on our sleeve for the 2011 season."

The PawSox open their season on Thursday, April 7 against the Rochester Red Wings at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket.
