The fourth installment of tennis video-game franchise Topspin hit stores this past week, but while a racy ad featuring “World’s Sexiest Tennis Player” Serena Williams facing off on XBox Kinect against the “World’s Sexiest Gamer” had been shot to be part of the game’s marketing campaign, 2K Sports decided not to go with it.
Unfortunately for the company, “World’s Sexiest Gamer” actress, Rileah Vanderbilt, decided that she was going to leak the unused ad online herself via Twitter.
The company clearly wasn’t too happy with this, releasing the following statement: “As part of the process for creating marketing campaigns to support our titles, we pursue a variety of creative avenues. This video is not part of the title’s final marketing campaign and its distribution was unauthorized.”
In other news, this may be the most tennis Serena has played in a year or so.
