Liverpool's quest to land Aston Villa's Ashley Young may have just gotten more difficult.

Bayern Munich is expected to join the list of teams interested in Young, the Daily Mail reports.

Manchester United and Tottenham have also been rumored to have considerable interest in the winger.

Villa manager Gerard Houllier's initial asking price of no less than £80 million ($129.6 million) for Young has been cut dramatically considering that Young has the option to walk in 18 months, leaving Villa with nothing.

The new amount is now being reported in the neighborhood of £12 million ($19.4 million).

The Daily Mail is reporting Bayern Munich had a scout on hand to watch Young in Saturday's 3-2 Premier League loss at Bolton, where Young miscued on a critical penalty kick. Despite the missed PK, the scout was still impressed with what he saw from the 25-year-old.

The bidding war for Young will begin in July.
