Mar 1, 2011

LaDainian Tomlinson finished last season with his second-lowest yardage total of his career and just six rushing touchdowns (he averaged 15.3 over his first nine seasons), but he's keeping his job in New York.

According to ESPN.com, Tomlinson will remain a member of the New York Jets in 2011.

Tomlinson, who will turn 32 in June, led the Jets in rushing yards (914), attempts (219) and touchdowns, but his average yards per carry dropped considerably as each month of the season passed (5.6 in September, 4.7 in October, 3.4 in November, 3.3 in December).

He did put together a solid playoff performance, scoring two rushing touchdowns against the Colts and catching a touchdown against the Patriots.
