Troy Murphy Bringing Spray Tan License to Boston, Replacing 'Tan Man' Void Left by Brian Scalabrine There may be many things Boston Celtics fans don’t know about newcomer Troy Murphy, but here’s one tidbit that surfaced in Indiana about four years ago that may leave some pale in the face.

The 14th overall pick out of Notre Dame in 2001 will reportedly sign with the Celtics on Wednesday. When he arrives in the Hub, a spray tanning machine may be close behind, judging by a 2007 interview with Pacers TV reporter Stacy Paetz, which can be seen below (about 40 seconds in).

Looking back to February of 2010, NESN stopped by 98.5 The Sports Hub studios to witness former Celtic Brian Scalabrine get a spray tan live on Boston’s sports talk radio morning show Toucher and Rich. Does this mean Murph is the new Scal?
