Vote: Where Will the Celtics Finish in the Eastern Conference Standings? Boston hoops fans are praying that the luck of the Irish will kick in soon — or at least come playoff time.

The Celtics have lost six of their last 10 games and are fading fast. The Bulls, winners of three straight, are sitting somewhat comfortably atop the East while the Heat, winners of four straight heading into Saturday, are now just a 1/2 game away from taking second place from the men in green.

Unfortunately, Miami isn’t Boston’s only problem. Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic, who have vowed to refrain from shaving from here on out (never underestimate the power of facial hair), have won five in a row and are just four games behind the Celtics.

The optimist will notice that the C’s are just two games out of first place and those who have watched these Celtics over the last five years know that they can turn it on when necessary. But will they before it’s too late?
