If it seems weird, that's because it is. The Yankees certainly think so.
"It sounds strange because of our talent level and the past that nobody is picking us," CC Sabathia told the New York Post. "It's kind of funny. We won 95 games last year."
While many Yankees don't seem to have a problem with experts picking the Red Sox to roll to a world championship this year, no players seem to believe they're not as good a team as Boston.
"We don't care about Boston," said Mariano Rivera. "We cannot control what they do. We have a great team. Whatever people say doesn't mean anything."
