Allen Iverson never really enjoyed practicing as an NBA star. Now that he's nothing more than a washed-up basketball player, perhaps it's time he practiced his manners.
Iverson made headlines recently when he launched an expletive-ridden tirade against police when a car belonging to him was pulled over for a traffic violation. The 35-year-old was a passenger in his own car — a grey Lamborghini — when driver Antwuan Clisby was pulled over in Atlanta for changing lanes without signaling on March 30.
From there, things got ugly, according to a police report obtained by CNN.
He became "irate," according to the police report, saying, "I'm the [expletive] passenger," and went on to say, "Police don't have anything else [expletive] to do except [expletive] with me."
Then, as expected, he dropped the age-old line: "Do you know who I am?"
After police scanned the vehicle, it was evident just who Iverson was: some guy who owns a car with tags that expired in 2009.
"For the next 20 minutes, Mr. Iverson went on and on about who he was," an officer wrote in the report. "I stated to Mr. Iverson, 'It really doesn't matter who you are. You tried to conceal your vehicle with a fake drive-out tag due to you not paying for your tags.'"
Iverson reportedly told the officer to, "take the vehicle, I have 10 more."
The car was eventually towed, but not before Iverson let the officer know that "I make more money than you will in 10 years."
