Bruins-Canadiens Rivalry Ready to Add Latest Chapter As Two Teams Set to Meet in Stanley Cup Playoffs

Well, if you're going to start the playoffs, you might as well start them off with a bang. That's exactly what the Bruins and Canadiens will do this week when they meet in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

As is the case when the two teams meet, expect this upcoming best-of-seven series to be full of passion, fire and likely some hate between the two storied rivals.

The Canadiens got the better of the Bruins this season, winning four of the six games, but the Bruins took away arguably the two most spirited wins in the meetings of the Northeast Division front-runners.

One of those games was a decisive 7-0 win in late March at TD Garden. The other win came back on Feb. 9 when the Bruins battered the Habs in an 8-6 win that saw its share of bad blood. It was 187 minutes worth of bad blood actually.

If for some reason you need any help getting up for the upcoming series, check out the highlights of that February showdown in the video below.
