Bruins Look to Quickly Recharge Their Batteries After a Few ‘Unlucky Breaks’ in Game 6 Loss

Tuesday night did not go exactly as planned for the Boston Bruins.

The B's were hoping to take care of business against the rivaled Habs, and leave Montreal with the Game 6 and series victory. Instead, the Canadiens' quick and talented attack capitalized on two 5-on-3 situations, and came away with a 2-1 lead to force a Game 7 in Boston on Wednesday.

The quick turnaround leaves the B's less than 24 hours to recharge their batteries for the series finale on their home ice. The Bruins can take away a few positives from Tuesday's game, however, knowing that they played a stronger game than the Habs in full-strength situations. It also helps that they're heading home to play for the crucial victory.

"We worked all year to get home ice," assistant captain Mark Recchi told reporters after the game. "We'll go get a lot of rest tonight and focus on what we have to do … for the most part we'll just save our energy and get ready."
