Bruins Will Face Canadiens in First Round of Stanley Cup Playoffs The "bleu, blanc et rouge" circus is coming to town, and it will be under the Garden big top starting this week.

The Montreal Canadiens knocked off the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night which means the Habs are coming to Boston to take on the Bruins in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The win locked up the No. 6 seed for the Canadiens, and with Philadelphia's win over the Islanders on Saturday, the Bruins will be the No. 3 seed.

Montreal won four of the six meetings between the two Northeast Division rivals this season, but the B's made a resounding statement with a 7-0 win in the teams' final meeting of the season in Boston on March 24.

The NHL will release the playoffs schedule on Sunday when the playoff seeds are officially wrapped up. The playoffs are slated to start on Wednesday, though, which means the Bruins will likely open their series on Thursday as the Celtics are scheduled to play at TD Garden on Wednesday night.
