Carl Crawford Believes Red Sox, Rays Will Snap Out of Sluggish Start and Improve in AL East

Carl Crawford has been keeping a close eye on his former team in Tampa Bay, and has noticed a few similarities with his current team, as both the Sox and the Rays have struggled to start the season.

Though both teams currently sit at the bottom of the AL East standings, Crawford told reporters that he expects the Rays and the Sox to snap out of their slow starts and hop on the winning track as the season rolls on.

"They have a good young team, and they have good pitching," Crawford said of the Rays. "At some point you think they're going to play better, just like the way I think we're going to play better."

Crawford also discussed his own slow start, and said he thinks he's starting to hit the ball well, and soon enough, the ball should start to drop in better locations for base hits.
