Chad Ochocinco Edges LeBron James, Mike Tyson as Most Influential Social Media Athlete

Love him or hate him, Chad Ochocinco stands alone as the most influential sports personality in the social media universe, according to a recent rating system by

The system objectively ranks athletes on a 1-100 scale by analyzing how many people listen to or engage in conversation online with them through Twitter or Facebook.

CNBC's sports business reporter Darren Rovell compiled a list ranking the athlete's influence on twitter using this data.

Ochocinco sends tweets about every five minutes, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that he tops the list. The Bengals' wideout even has Motorola sponsor his twitter page, which has just under 2 million followers.

Simply put, when Ochocinco tweets, the world listens.
